As of Dec.1, 2024, post-secondary institutions in British Columbia are subject to the Public Interest Disclosure Act (PIDA), which provides a way for employees to report concerns of serious or systemic wrongdoing, while being protected from reprisal.

UVic has created a new Public Interest Disclosure Act policy to provide additional rights and supports for those who wish to disclose their concerns about wrongdoing at UVic. This new policy provides a safe and legally protected way for UVic employees to report suspected wrongdoing.

To learn more about PIDA and your responsibilities under the Act and its policy, please visit the updated internal audit website.

Questions can be sent to the PIDA designated officer at [email protected].
