Home / Campus & community / Flag lowered in honour of Rod Dobell

The university flag will be lowered on Apr. 24 in honour of Dr. Rod Dobell.

Dobell was an inspiring force to many at UVic. He was a well-respected expert and thought leader in the fields of public policy and public administration.

Dobell served as Director of UVic’s School of Public Administration from 1978 to 1984, when the school was a new entity and one of only four such programs in Canada at the time. After a long career as professor, he joined the Centre for Global Studies in his retirement, where he was a beloved fellow and animateur.
