UVic has been named one of BC’s Greenest Employers for the tenth year.

Spring has finally sprung at UVic and campus is turning green. Now, thanks to BC’s Top Employer Awards, the university is looking even greener.

For the tenth year, UVic has been named one of BC’s Greenest Employers. And if you look at the award criteria, it’s not hard to see why. The awards recognize organizations for their unique environmental initiatives and programs, the extent of the reduction in their environmental footprint, the degree to which employees are involved in sustainability programming and the organization’s environmental reputation.

Our local food focus, Staff Sustainability Network, zero waste commitments and employee bike loan program are just a few of the amazing initiatives that help to make this campus a green place to work.

Learn about UVic’s leadership in sustainability and how you can get involved in greening campus even further.
